NDI Staff: Biographies Dave Hamilton Dave Hamilton is the Resident Director of NDI’s programs in Belarus. Before joining the Institute in 2003, Dave worked in the private sector at Pyramid Communications in Seattle. His client base as a consultant included the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, American Legacy Foundation, city of Seattle, state of Washington, Lummi Nation, and many other non-profit and governmental organizations. His public relations duties included strategic planning, lobbying, materials development, fundraising, capital campaigns, grant writing, website development, public opinion research, event production and advertising. He also conducted media outreach including drafting press materials; pitching stories; writing and placing op-eds, talking points and speeches; and coordinating press conferences. Before Pyramid, David worked for a diverse group of non-profit and government organizations including the Washington state legislature, U.S. Forest Service, King County Elections and Washington Conservation Voters. He has also worked on many political campaigns for U.S. Congress, state legislatures, city/county councils, and initiatives/referenda both as staff and as a consultant. Dave earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a Master's degree in natural resources public policy from the University of Washington. |
