Robert G. Liberatore is senior transatlantic fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, working on issues surrounding the transatlantic business relationship and the U.S. presidential election. Previously, Mr. Liberatore served as senior vice president–global external affairs and public policy for Daimler AG (formerly DaimlerChrysler AG). In this role he was responsible for relations with governments and societies around the world and developing the company’s position on public policy issues.
Mr. Liberatore joined the Chrysler Corporation in 1985 after working on Capitol Hill for 10 years, including four years as staff director for Senate Leader Robert C. Byrd.
