Peter Manikas, senior associate and regional director for Asia programs at NDI, will testify before the East Asian and Pacific Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee regarding Burma.

Other witnesses include Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Joseph Yun of the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs; Nisha Biswal, assistant administrator for Asia at the U.S. Agency for International Development; Adam Szubin, director of the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control; David Steinberg, professor in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service; and Karl Jackson, professor of Southeast Asia studies in Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
