On several occasions in recent weeks, Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh has accepted terms designed to secure his departure from office. In each of these instances, he has reneged on his commitment to resign, frustrating GCC negotiators, the Yemeni opposition, and Yemeni protesters, and undermining the credibility of his commitment to leave office. While Saleh fiddles, Yemen burns. Mass protests have continued across the country. Yemeni forces have continued to respond violently to demonstrations, causing additional deaths and injuries. Local security conditions in several critical regions of Yemen continue to erode.
Panelists will discuss the latest and provide their take on what's next.
