The national election campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) starts on Friday, exactly one month ahead of historic presidential and legislative elections scheduled for Nov. 28.

Speakers will discuss their concerns about the increase in political tensions in the DRC and actions needed to prevent electoral violence, protect civilians and ensure credible, free and fair elections.
