Taline Sanassarian is deputy director to NDI’s vice president for administration. Taline brings to the Institute more than 15 years of wide-ranging political and policy experience both in the United States and abroad. Before joining NDI’s Washington, D.C., office in 2007, Taline was the country director in the Institute’s Armenia field office.
Previous to NDI, Taline directed all government and public affairs for the Port of San Francisco, supervised all board and commission appointments for then-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, managed two local winning campaigns in San Francisco, and worked in the Massachusetts State House as a legislative aide and research analyst.
She earned a Master of Science degree in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies at the London School of Economics, a Master of Arts in Political Communication from Emerson College in Boston and a B.A. in Speech Communication from San Francisco State University.
