Increasingly individuals and corporations are joining governments in investing in the democracy movement, recognizing the global benefits of more participatory and transparent political institutions. As a result, NDI is creating innovative public/private partnerships to channel contributions to where they have the greatest impact.
Every dollar donated makes a difference, and can be put to use to help build democratic political institutions, and to increase citizens' access to them. With your support, NDI can do more at key moments in a country when practical assistance can stimulate and sustain democratic governance and economic growth.
The Democratic Century Fund is supported annually by corporations, foundations, labor
unions, individuals and alumni dedicated to the growth of democracy worldwide.
These private contributions supplement funding provided to NDI by the National
Endowment for Democracy (NED), United Nations Development Programme, and the World Bank, as
well as the governments of the US (U.S. Agency for International Development),
Canada (Canadian International Development Agency), Ireland (Irish
Aid), Japan, Netherlands, United Kingdom and other governments.
