Meetings with officials from the National Security Council (NSC) and key NGOs as well as Slovaks living in the US marked the end Slovakia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák’s visit to the US, the TASR newswire reported on July 27.

During a meeting with representatives of prominent NGOs such as the Atlantic Council of the United States, the US Institute for Peace, the German Marshall Fund, the International Crisis Group and the National Democratic Institute, the foreign affairs minister discussed issues concerning foreign policy. The representatives of the US NGOs appreciated the activities of Slovak diplomacy in the countries of the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership, TASR wrote.
