Edi Efendija is the country director for NDI in Thailand. He previously served as NDI’s Legislative Strengthening Advisor in Myanmar, where he spent nearly three years working closely with the union and subnational parliaments to assist their democratic transition. He has also served on NDI legislative strengthening programs in Somalia and Kosovo as Resident Deputy Country Director and Senior National Program Manager, respectively.

His work has included general orientation and training for individual members; support to parliamentary committees; constructing linkages between parliament and civil society; constituent outreach; and strategic planning for institutional development and rules of procedures reform.
