What's New at NDI Gender, Women and Democracy (GWD):

Wilma Rule Award

Our technical adviser, Dr. Mona Lena Krook, Associate Professor at Rutgers University, submitted a paper co-authored with GWD on violence against women in politics to the International Political Science Association's (IPSA) meeting in July. This paper won IPSA's 2016 Wilma Rule Award for best research on gender and politics, and will appear in the January 2017 edition of the Journal of Democracy.
