Steve Keil

Member, DC Chapter of NDI's Advisory Council

Steve Keil is the International Government Affairs Project Coordinator for Chevron. In this capacity, he advances business objectives in countries where Chevron operates by facilitating stakeholder engagement and helping to manage policy issues such as sanctions, international trade, and regional issues.

Steve joined Chevron in 2018 from the U.S. Department of State, where he held various contractor positions supporting public diplomacy and partnership-building efforts. He served as the Partnerships Coordinator for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs and at U.S. Embassy Nur-Sultan as well as a program officer in the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships developing initiatives such as Diplomacy Lab and Wonk Tank. Steve also worked as a project assistant at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center. 

A Philadelphia native, Steve holds a BA in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University where he was a Dean’s scholar, participated in a traineeship at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, and spent time in Istanbul, Turkey.
