Alice Ratyis Pop is the resident representative of NDI in Romania. Ms. Ratyis graduated with a degree in journalism and gained experience in effective communication and strategic planning while acting as an NGO activist for many years. After graduating, she worked as a councilor of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania, where she learned the inner-workings of a political organization. Working for NDI as a political party trainer and later as a freelance consultant, she also gained experience working with political parties from Romania and throughout Europe.
