Joint Statement by IRI and NDI on Upcoming Elections in Ghana
Washington, DC – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) issued the following statement ahead of Ghana’s general elections, scheduled to take place on Monday, December 7, 2020:

Report on the Observation of the 2020 General Election of the Autonomous Bougainville Government
After five electoral cycles, Bougainville has proven its political and social will to conduct peaceful elections. Recognizing the historic importance of the 2020 general elections, voters held high expectations for a well-planned and successfully executed election as they turned out to elect the body that will negotiate the region’s independence from PNG.

Statement on People’s Republic of China’s Announcement of Sanctions Targeting NDI
The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is aware that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China has again targeted NDI and the National Endowment for Democracy, announcing sanctions against NDI Asia-Pacific Regional Director Manpreet Singh Anand, as well as two former NDI employees.

BiH LOCAL ELECTIONS 2020 – Tectonic Changes or Taking Positions for the Elections in 2022
In the local elections held on November 15, after 20 years in power in Sarajevo Canton and Banja Luka, SDA (Party of Democratic Action) lost most of the mayoral positions in Sarajevo Canton municipalities. SNSD (Alliance of the Independent Social Democrats) also lost the mayoral position in Banja Luka.
