Joint NDI-IRI Mission Arrives in Bangladesh to Assess the Status of Electoral Preparations

Mission will be conducted from October 8-12

Dhaka, Bangladesh – The joint International Republican Institute (IRI) and National Democratic Institute (NDI) pre-election assessment mission (PEAM) arrived in Bangladesh to follow electoral preparations and conduct an independent and impartial assessment.

In order to conduct an independent and impartial assessment of the status of electoral preparations, the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) will deploy a joint Pre-Election Assessment Mission (PEAM) to Bangladesh from October 8-12.

President Gabriel Boric recognized NDI’s role in supporting Chile’s path to democracy

The National Democratic Institute (NDI) was awarded a medal by the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, in recognition of its role in supporting the 1988 plebiscite that ended the dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet and enabled the country’s return to democracy.
