Women's Political Participation and Political Violence Against Women in Honduras

During the 2017 general elections in Honduras, a cross-section of civil society groups came together to form Observation N-26 (Observación N-26), a non-partisan citizen election observation coalition comprised of research and advocacy centers, citizen watch groups, women's advocates, journalists who promote and defend freedom of expression and the right to information, and defenders of human rights.

Joint IRI-NDI Delegation to Assess Pre-Election Environment in Zimbabwe

Harare, Zimbabwe – The International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) are fielding a joint delegation from June 2-8 to assess preparations for Zimbabwe’s July 30, 2018, harmonized presidential, parliamentary, and local government elections. This delegation represents an important component of the IRI-NDI joint Zimbabwe International Election Observer Mission (ZIEOM).

Joint IRI-NDI International Election Observer Delegation Deploys to Zimbabwe to Observe Preparations for Anticipated Elections

Harare, Zimbabwe – In response to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s public statements welcoming international observers to monitor the upcoming Zimbabwe elections, the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) are deploying a joint Zimbabwe International Election Observation Mission (ZIEOM) to observe the 2018 Zimbabwe elections.
