NDI Mourns the Passing of President George H.W. Bush and Honors His Legacy
The National Democratic Institute extends its heartfelt condolences to the Bush family on the passing of President George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States of America. We remember his life and legacy as one of America’s most dedicated, accomplished and honorable public servants, and mourn his loss. His endless support for democratic development across the globe ensured bipartisan collaboration was a priority during his administration.

El Blindaje de la Corrupción en Honduras: Contexto, Dimensiones, Formas y Mecanismos
To strengthen anti-corruption and anti-impunity initiatives in Honduras, NDI supported CEDOH to conduct research to identify the legal, institutional and political factors that inform the state’s response to anti-corruption initiatives, with a particular focus on the mechanisms and norms used to neutralize anti-corruption efforts. Based on this research, CEDOH published this book, which recommends measures to counter these tendencies to side-step anti-corruption efforts.

Georgian Presidential Election Day Largely Orderly with Sporadic Serious Violations, Pre-Election Campaign Divisive and Fear-Based, Tarnished by Incidents of Violence and Intimidation
TBILISI – On November 28, Georgians proceeded to the polls in a second round to directly elect their president for the last time. A delegation of the National Democratic Institute that analyzed the process found that election day was largely orderly but the period ahead of the runoff was divisive and marked by violence and intimidation.
