NDI Delegation to Assess Electoral Environment in Georgia Ahead of Local Elections

TBILISI – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) announced today that it will conduct an assessment of the electoral and political environment in advance of Georgia's local elections, which are scheduled for October. The mission is a demonstration of the international community’s continuing support for democratic processes in Georgia and is intended to help promote public confidence in the electoral process.

Change My Community Toolbox

Change My Community contains tools and guidance for young people to lead local-level, grassroots advocacy campaigns. This practical tool, which NDI developed in cooperation with the University of Kansas, contains links to the Community Tool Box, which is a free, online resource for those working to build healthier communities and bring about social change.

May 2017 Georgia Public Opinion Research on Foreign Affairs

Concerns surrounding the economy dominated the conversation during NDI’s most recent focus group discussions. The focus groups reveal that citizens view both relations with Russia and Georgia's integration to the European Union through an economic advantages lens. NDI conducts focus groups to complement its nationwide public opinion polling and applies the results to help local partners diagnose, understand and address citizens’ concerns.

NDI Report on Kosovo’s June 2017 Parliamentary Elections

Kosovo’s snap parliamentary elections on June 11, 2017, have offered the country an opportunity to move past recent political impasses and reorient political institutions to the pressing needs of its citizens. Continuing a pattern of extraordinary elections, these elections were precipitated by a long-running political crisis set off by the previous parliamentary election, in June 2014.
